Inspired by Henry David Thoreau's reflection in 'Walden', 'A Casa Hi Tinc 3 Cadires' presents an installation that serves as a conscious space of refuge. This simple architectural structure delineates a habitable area that remains open and permeable to the surrounding environment. Inside, chairs are deliberately arranged to activate the space as a gathering place, designed for contemplation, conversation, or shared presence. This 'refuge' does not serve to isolate; rather, it acts as a framework inviting individuals to pause and engage with each other at a more deliberate pace. The arrangement of chairs fosters direct interaction among occupants, transforming the piece into an activatable space. The project is realized in collaboration with the Just M. Casero Library, which will feature a display of books inspired by Thoreau's work and his influence.
