Join us for a special guided tour to celebrate World Water Day, exploring the historical connections between architecture and water usage in the Horta-Guinardó district of Barcelona. This circular route will take you along the ancient path of Sant Iscle, where we'll visit various sources, mines, and ponds that historically provided water to the rural estates of Can Masdeu and Can Sant Genís. You'll learn how these sites exemplify sustainable agricultural practices and the importance of water conservation. The event, while currently suspended due to health measures, was organized by a knowledgeable team from the Centre de Natura and is co-hosted with the Collserola Natural Park Consortium. Originally linked to the international celebration of architecture in Barcelona, this activity highlights the vital role of water resources in urban and agricultural landscapes.
