The 'Barcelona Flashback' exhibition offers a historical synthesis of the city's narrative through its objects, architecture, and landscapes. Located in the MUHBA at Casa Padellàs, the exhibit presents a dynamic and inquisitive exploration of Barcelona's two-millennia-long journey. It invites visitors to experience a minimum knowledge of urban representation necessary for exercising their right to the city. The exhibition draws from the MUHBA collections and serves as an introduction to the museum's 55 galleries spread across 19 sites in Barcelona. This engaging project aligns with European city museums tackling the challenge of delivering high-quality synthesizing exhibits that provide insights into the metropolis within 90 minutes, promoting sustainable tourism and an alternative perspective for both residents and visitors. An earlier version had around 100 objects, while the current exhibition boasts nearly 200, aspiring to foster methodological skills for urban understanding.
