The 'Visions of Panafrica' film series expands on the audiovisual language of the exhibition 'Projecting a Black Planet.' Inspired by Pan-Africanism's collaborative spirit, this program forms a network of partnerships with cultural agents from various scales, including the Raval neighborhood, the city of Barcelona, and even beyond borders, featuring collaborations with Filmlab Palestine, the Catalan Film Archive, the Dart Festival, and the cooperative cinema Zumzeig. These alliances create a space for collective reflection on struggles for self-determination, resistance archives, and anti-colonial imaginaries. The series showcases a selection of films from Africa and its diasporas, tracing cinematic genealogies linked to memory, territory, and processes of emancipation.
