Join us for an engaging family workshop exploring the Ainu culture of northern Japan. Through the lens of ancestral stories collected by Yukie Chiri, participants will delve into the rich cosmology, spirituality, and identity of the Ainu people. We will discover traditional songs, learn Ainu vocabulary, and experience their unique rhythms and sounds firsthand. Guided by artist and storyteller Yoshihira Hioki, this workshop is designed for families with children aged five and up, allowing you to bond and create meaningful memories together. This enriching experience coincides with the temporary exhibition "AYNU: An Indigenous Culture of Japan," providing a deeper understanding of this fascinating culture.
