Unusual Stories from Girona
Based on a collection of news stories spanning different eras, Gabriel Ventura explores a journey of strange and mundane events that have taken place in Girona over the last two centuries. Ventura, a poet born in 1988, transcends his craft, delving into performance, chronicling, film, and research. His recent works include 'W’ (2017), 'Notes for an Eye Fire' (2020), and 'A Portuguese Night' (2021), reflecting his diverse artistic engagements. He frequently collaborates with artist Rosa Tharrats, co-directing short films that have been showcased at various festivals. With his poetry translated into multiple languages, Ventura not only teaches at BAU but is also involved in composing an opera and drafting a new essay.
