The 'Històries Heretades' project engages 10th-grade students from Institut Jaume Vicens Vives, facilitating intergenerational dialogue between the youth and their grandparents to explore relationships, roots, and identity construction. As the adolescents approach a pivotal age, they begin to formulate their identities by reflecting on their origins. Through conversations and mini-interviews, family stories are transformed into audio pieces, archived photographs, and fragments illustrating intergenerational connections, alongside themes of self-image and confidence. The material culminates in an installation made from ceramic tiles, where each piece signifies a fragment of memory, identity, and connection. The outcome is a visual and auditory montage that bridges past and present, highlighting the significance of memory and art in personal expression and understanding.
