On International Women's Day, we are hosting an open workshop titled 'Embroidering Memory,' focusing on the industrial history of Sant Andreu. This inclusive event aims to highlight the contributions of women who worked in local factories through a collective embroidery project. Participants will be provided with threads and needles to stitch together images and symbols that represent the rich history and experiences of women in the workforce. The workshop encourages creativity as well as sharing of personal and collective memories in a public space. It serves both as a celebration of women's historical roles and a way to honor their legacies through a hands-on artistic expression, inviting community involvement and reflection.
