When Halley's Comet returns, what will be thought of our fragile spirits? Set in rural England in 1759, Sally Poppy, a woman accused of a brutal crime, is sentenced to death. However, she claims to be pregnant, which could delay her execution. To resolve this, a jury composed entirely of women is formed to decide the fate of the accused by determining whether she is telling the truth. As the crowd eagerly awaits the deliberations, the jurors gradually become aware of the power they have been granted.
