The exhibition 'Project a Black Planet' explores traditional approaches to Pan-Africanism as a political movement centered on decolonialism, solidarity, and emancipation. This is the first significant showcase focusing on artistic practices and cultural expressions that shape this black planet. Artists from Africa, North and South America, and Western Europe provide a critical lens on the role of art, ancestral connections, resistance, spirituality, and blackness, using a variety of mediums like sculptures, installations, maps, flags, and archives. During guided tours led by artists and researchers Agnes Essonti Luque, Albert Gironès, and Eva Paia, visitors will engage with collective storytelling while experiencing the intricacies of the exhibition and leaving with a deeper understanding. Participants should pre-register for the museum entry before the tour, as a general admission fee of 12 euros applies, though the guided tour itself is included with the museum fee.
