The Catalan Roma people have their own history, language, customs, and values, and a distinct idiosyncrasy. The aim of the Museum of History of Catalonia with this exhibition is to recognize, value, and make visible the history of the Roma people in an open, diverse, and real way. This unique exhibition traces the Roma people's journey from the ancient East through the Balkans to our lands, from the European Middle Ages to the present, consciously denouncing dark episodes that cannot be forgotten. 'The Roma People of Catalonia: History and Culture' reveals the Roma as one of the first globalizing cultures in the world, contributing cultural, artistic, and linguistic traits to all territories where they have settled over the centuries. This exhibition gives a voice directly to the diverse Roma communities in Catalonia. Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:00 to 19:00. General admission: €6, reduced admission: €4 for seniors, pensioners, youth cardholders, international student cardholders, large family members, and non-tourist groups of more than 10 people. Free on the first Sunday of the month.
