The collection, consisting of over 200 original items, comes from more than 20 international institutions, including the Berlin Wall Foundation, the Allies Museum, and the Hiroshima Peace Museum. Among the highlights are Wall fragments and personal objects used by Berlin inhabitants for smuggling or communication, reflecting the direct consequences of the opposing systems.
