Curated by Elvira Dyangani Ose, along with Antawan Byrd, Adom Getachew, and Matthew S. Witkovsky, this is the first major international exhibition analyzing cultural expressions of Pan-Africanism from the 1920s to the present. This project is a collaboration with the Art Institute of Chicago and two other leading institutions: the Barbican Centre in London and KANAL Centre Pompidou in Brussels. The exhibition features nearly 350 pieces from over a hundred artists and will be displayed at all four institutions until spring 2027.
