Ecofeminism Workshop: Summer Solstice Plants and Traditions

This workshop dives into the rich cultural traditions related to the summer solstice, focusing on the significance of bonfires, celebrations, and herbs associated with Sant Joan. Participants will explore the traditional Catalan customs connected to seasonal plants, learning about those most commonly used during this time of year. We will create protective bouquets and bundles of herbs to burn, emphasizing their cultural symbolism. As part of the experience, attendees will also enjoy a refreshing infusion made with seasonal plants, fostering a connection to nature and the importance of sustainability in our practices, guided by Xènia from Zero Waste initiatives.
