Dialogues of Sant Jordi: Zülfü Livaneli and Burhan Sönmez
Zülfü Livaneli and Burhan Sönmez will participate in this dialogue, moderated by Llucia Ramis, exploring the relationship between literature and political commitment. The narratives of Livaneli and Sönmez examine political engagement, the defense of human rights, and experiences of repression and exile in Turkey. The conversation will cover how fiction serves as a space for resistance and memory, as well as how literature shapes collective wounds. This event is part of Cities in Revolt!, the 10th General Assembly of the International Cities of Refuge Network (ICORN) organized by PEN Català.
