During this time, the sardana and cobla became firmly established in the Girona region and began their expansion throughout Catalonia. Many composers from this era contributed to the repertoire for their local cobles, yet some have been forgotten over time. This performance aims to revive the works of both lesser-known and semi-obscure musicians, with selections curated by Jordi León based on his musical journey. The program includes a mix of sardanas and dance music, showcasing the elegance and variety of compositions from this vibrant chapter of musical history. The concert will be hosted by musicologist David Puertas, ensuring an engaging experience as we rediscover the essence of music from the Belle Époque.
