This exhibition delves into the often-overlooked party walls in urban environments—anonymous structures that split properties but may become visible due to urban planning changes. These walls, which serve no role in the building’s exterior appearance, can disrupt the urban landscape and pose structural and habitability issues for the affected buildings and their residents. In light of Barcelona's nomination as the World Capital of Architecture 2026 by UNESCO-UIA, this exhibition features a design competition aimed at transforming ten of these party walls across the city’s districts into new facades that harmonize with the urban landscape. Presentations of winning proposals will illustrate the city's architectural future while leaving a lasting legacy for years to come.
