Vicenç Huedo is a politically engaged activist pivotal to Girona's cultural landscape during the late 1970s and 1980s. His altruistic and critical works, including posters, engravings, cartoons, and publications, reflect his socio-political activism and are featured in a dedicated exhibit at the Museum of History of Girona. Huedo has played an essential role in Girona's artistic scene, being an active member of the Democratic Artists Assembly of Girona (ADAG) and teaching drawing at the Municipal School of Art for over three decades. His extensive artistic portfolio encompasses painting, drawing, and illustration, often portraying landscapes, imagined realities, still lifes, figure studies, and portraits. In honor of his significant contributions, Girona is hosting a series of eight exhibitions and activities from January 15 to May 25, showcasing his long-term connection to the city and celebrating his sensitive artistic perspective.
