The King of Os by Jo Nesbo
The story revolves around brothers Carl and Roy Opgard, who, in many respects, have achieved what could be called success for their small town of Os. Carl runs a luxurious spa hotel while Roy operates the local gas station and is ambitiously planning a theme park. However, the news that a national highway will bypass their town threatens their futures, forcing them to take drastic action, even if their methods may be questionable. This narrative explores their adventures and the lengths they will go to secure their community against impending economic decline.
