Historical Route: Prisoners of Torras-Hostench
On January 14, 1974, the Franco regime detained six individuals for establishing a workers' committee at the Torras-Hostench factory in Sarrià de Ter. These workers were accused of illegal association and propaganda and were imprisoned for varying lengths, from a week to fifteen months at the Pont Major prison. This guided route aims to recover the memory of these events and honor those detained over 52 years ago for organizing one of the first workers' committees in the Girona region, facilitating a dialogue about past struggles for workers' rights with one former prisoner sharing their firsthand experience of captivity.
