Throughout history, dragons and monsters have populated the Christian imagination as embodiments of evil and chaos. What are their roles and how do they shape the imagery within biblical and hagiographical narratives? Join us for a guided itinerary through the three buildings that comprise the Episcopal Girona: the Basilica of Sant Feliu, the Cathedral, and the Episcopal Palace, now home to the Girona Art Museum. Led by Joan Piña, we will discover significant artworks preserved in these spaces, including the tomb of Sant Narcís and the Beatus of Girona, featuring the oldest representation of hell preserved in Europe.
