In commemoration of the 2,100th anniversary of Girona's foundation, this exhibition explores the urban development of modern Girona from the mid-19th century to the present. Looking towards the future, it highlights various current plans for renewal and growth over the coming decades. The exhibition includes around one hundred original plans, historical documents, drawings, photographs, and reproductions that showcase significant urban plans from Girona since the demolition of the walls, as well as specific projects shaping the character of neighborhoods and sectors, including Devesa, the banks of the Ter and Domeny, the Santa Eugènia gardens, the Archaeological promenade, the Old Town, the Sant Daniel Valley, Pedreres, Sant Narcís, Mercadal, the Migdia Park, and the Rafael Masó Central Park. Recent projects, such as ecological connectivity and developments along the road to Barcelona and the new Josep Trueta Health Campus, are also presented.
