Francisca Rius i Sanuy (1891-1967). Design and Life

The exhibition 'Francisca Rius i Sanuy (1891-1967). Design and Life', curated by Domènec Ribot, highlights the career of a prominent artist in drawing and ornamental design at the beginning of the 20th century, whose career was interrupted by the Civil War and the social and political context of the time. The show gathers works preserved within the family and her diary, written during the war addressed to her son, a unique testament of the era. Since 2009, her work has received increasing recognition, and the Museu d'Art de Girona dedicates this solo exhibition to promote her legacy.
