Exploration of F. Schubert's Lieder

The Open Classroom initiative is designed to connect participants with classical music in a profound and experiential way. Aiming to demystify great works, this program encourages people to appreciate and engage with music as a vital and accessible art form. Organized by the Municipal School of Music of Girona, this activity is suitable for anyone interested in classical music and the humanistic perspectives surrounding it. The cycle consists of multiple sessions where selected works will be listened to and discussed. Conducted by Rafael Esteve Alemany, creator of the Open Classroom project in 1998, the course material spans three trimesters, covering specific themes. Most sessions occur at La Marfà, with some held at the Auditorium prior to concerts. Participants can register for individual sessions or the entire course, providing an enriching opportunity to deepen their understanding of Schubert's lieder and other classical compositions.
