Exhibition on Girona's Urban Development (1850-2050)

In celebration of the 2,100th anniversary of Girona's founding, this exhibition offers a comprehensive look at the urban evolution of the city from the mid-19th century to the present, while also envisioning its future. It showcases significant architectural plans and projects that have defined Girona's growth and transformation over the decades. With over a hundred original blueprints, historical documents, drawings, and photographs, the exhibition highlights key urban plans since the dismantling of the city walls and examines specific projects that have influenced the character of various neighborhoods. Notable areas explored include Devesa, the Ter riverbanks, Domeny, Santa Eugènia gardens, the Archaeological promenade, the Old Quarter, Sant Daniel valley, Pedreres, Sant Narcís, Mercadal, and the Migdia and Central parks. Additionally, the exhibition features the latest proposals aimed at enhancing ecological connectivity and urban areas like the Barcelona road and the new Josep Tru
