The Blood Donation and Tissue Bank of Catalonia is organizing a new initiative to encourage blood donations. Every year, a significant number of individuals require blood transfusions in hospitals across Catalonia, and this year is no different, with over 70,000 people in need. To support the blood banks and assist those requiring transfusions, everyone between 18 and 70 years of age, who weighs over 50 kilograms and is in good health, is strongly encouraged to participate in this vital cause. Donors are invited to attend the blood donation event on April 22, 2026, held at the parking area on Avinguda Sant Narcís, 68, located behind the Girona Tax Agency building, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Your contribution can make a significant difference in someone's life, so please join us in this altruistic effort.
