This performance in four acts is based on a play by Anton Chekhov titled 'Ле́ший'. The play was written, performed, and ultimately failed, from the Latin quassare, meaning to break. The broken play was rejected by the author, who stated: 'Let it never be published or performed again.' The author was approaching forty when he wrote it, 136 years ago, using words without images, as cinema did not yet exist. However, if you, like us, do not speak Russian, 'Ле́ший' is not just a word; it is an image. And you, what do you see? This new project by ATRESBANDES is in collaboration with the Joan Brossa Foundation's Centre for Free Arts and the IF Festival, an international festival of visual theater, objects, and puppetry. Join us for performances on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:30 PM, and on Sunday at 12:00 PM. General admission ranges from €12 to €15.
