Workshop: 'Valid Bodies' for International Women's Day

In celebration of International Women’s Day, the ‘Valid Bodies’ workshop invites participants to engage in dynamic activities that challenge societal norms regarding body image and expectations of women. Using a collection of photographs showcasing diverse female bodies, alongside social theater techniques that dramatize everyday scenarios influenced by patriarchal discourse, the workshop aims to cultivate a space for discussion around the pressures of aesthetic standards prevalent in our society. Through open dialogue, participants will critically examine these societal beauty ideals and their implications. Organized by Dones Sumem Veus, this workshop encourages empowerment, reflection, and a reshaping of perceptions regarding body image.
