Women in History: A Critical Review

The cycle 'Women in the Shadows,' organized by the Libraries of Barcelona, sheds light on influential women who have been overlooked in historical narratives. This series aims to highlight the contributions and experiences of female activists, writers, scientists, artists, and more who have shaped their communities yet often remain unnamed. Through lectures and discussions, topics will include the roles of women during the Civil War, literary identities, contributions of lesser-known female scientists, and the challenges faced by women in the textile industry and arts. By bringing attention to their stories and accomplishments, this program seeks to enrich our understanding of history from a more inclusive and comprehensive perspective.
