The Collections Center of the Barcelona History Museum, located in the Zona Franca, is where thousands of historically and artistically significant objects related to the past of Barcelona are classified and preserved. Spanning an impressive 5,000 square meters, the center not only safeguards and conserves the collections but also facilitates research and educational outreach. Guided by specialized conservators, restorers, and archaeologists, visitors can engage in one of two proposed tours: A) Reserve Rooms of the Collections - this tour provides insight into the conservation of a selection of the many objects that narrate the city's history. Visitors will discover the specifics of object conservation based on the materials they are made from, alongside the classification, registration, and storage systems used.
