Discover the history of the Olympic Stadium! Designed by architect Pere Domènech i Roura, the stadium was inaugurated in 1929 for the Barcelona International Exhibition. The 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona led to its renovation by the architectural team Correa-Milà-Margarit-Buixadé, with contributions from Italian architect Gregotti. Only the façade and two sculptures of horsemen by Pau Gargallo were preserved. The stadium was reopened on September 8, 1989, during the World Athletics Championships. Since then, it has hosted numerous sports, musical, and corporate events. Before all this, the stadium witnessed many historic moments; come and discover them! Join us on Sunday at 10:00 AM for a free entry tour.
