VI Chamber Music Cycle at Teatre Sarrià: Concert "Garreta, Our Strauss"

Join us for the second concert of the VI Chamber Music Cycle at Teatre Sarrià, titled "Garreta, Our Strauss". This performance features works by Juli Garreta and Richard Strauss, performed by cellist Ramon Bassal and pianist Maria Canyigueral. The concert presents a unique dialogue between two sonatas that, despite their different cultural and geographical contexts, share a profound romantic sense. The youthful sonata by Richard Strauss, full of vitality and lyrical clarity, anticipates the personality of a composer who would take the orchestra to new heights. In celebration of Garreta's year, we will also feature his lesser-known sonata, which reveals the emotional intensity of a creator rooted in Mediterranean roots while projecting towards a broader European writing style. The concert will include comments and introductions by Joan Vives, a musician and presenter from Catalunya Música. Schedule: Thursday at 20:00. Prices: General admission from 5 to 30 €.
