In honor of International Women’s Day, we present a documentary that shines a light on the pivotal role of South Asian women in architecture. 'Transnational Narratives' showcases the journey of these professionals, who navigate their careers across Pakistan and the UK amid challenges posed by patriarchal structures and societal inequalities. The film features in-depth interviews, revealing both the struggles and contributions of these architects, underlining the necessity to recognize their achievements. The project, awarded by the 4th Lilly Reich Scholarship for equality in architecture, emphasizes the significance of diverse narratives in the architectural field. During this event, the award-winning team will discuss their research process and goals, reinforcing the importance of bringing marginalized voices into the architectural conversation.
