Synopsis: An old, distracted, irritable, and talkative father is concerned about his nativity scene and morning coffee. A devoted mother, halfway between an Italian mama and a worn-out housewife. An uncle who lives with them, single, obsessive, a lottery player, and a bank employee, bitter and constantly angry. A son who still lives at home, grown but reluctant to mature, spoiled by his mother, who acts foolishly or perhaps is a bit slow-witted, stealing everything he finds. The daughter is an independent young woman who was married to an older industrialist, boring, jealous, and wealthy. There’s also a friend of the son, a gallant and shy young man, who is in a romantic relationship with the family’s daughter, who plans to escape with him and leave her husband. This microcosm reaches its peak on Christmas Eve and explodes. Everyone gets angry, shouts, reconciles, and loves deeply... Because there’s nothing like spending Christmas at home. Artistic details: By Eduardo De Filippo, translated by Núria Furió, directed by Oriol Broggi, featuring Joan Arqué, Màrcia Cisteró, Jordi Coromina, Pep Cruz, Marissa Josa, Lluís Marquès, Noël Olivé, Eduard Paredes, and Ramon Vila.
