Talk for Families: "Language, Swallowing, and Breathing in Early Childhood"

In this talk, Gemma Torres, a miofunctional speech therapist, will provide a practical and clear approach to the development of language and orofacial skills in children aged 0 to 3 years. We will discuss common concerns related to breathing, swallowing, oral habits (pacifier, bottle, thumb), and the development of speech and language in early childhood. Using everyday examples, we will explore which aspects are part of typical development and which may be warning signs, as well as simple strategies to support children during this stage.
