Led by Joaquín Pretel, this workshop combines a reading group and a course that aims to present, read, and discuss essential yet often overlooked texts within contemporary short literature. Participants will have the opportunity to explore significant works from major contemporary authors. Each session will feature an author introduction with the intent of understanding the fabric of their work. We will read one or more short stories, dedicating the first half of the following session to discussing the reading. The latter half will introduce the next featured author, fostering an environment of literary appreciation and critical dialogue.
