This seminar examines the influence of the bourgeoisie in Barcelona, particularly its impact on the Eixample district. It also explores the contrasting social movements of the era, such as anarchism, and the historical backdrop represented by the 'Rosa de Foc'. The course will include three theoretical sessions followed by an outing to interpret the city as a living document. Led by Mariano Pesin from Òrbita Bcn, the seminar aims to provide participants with a deep understanding of the dynamics between social classes in the context of modernist culture. Prior registration is necessary as fulfilling the course’s limited capacity is essential.
