Scientific Café: Can We Predict Cancer?

The Scientific Cafés at the CRG foster dialogue between experts on current scientific topics and the general public. This particular session will delves into the remarkable adaptability of our body's cells known as cellular plasticity, a crucial property for development and regeneration that can also play a detrimental role in cancer, particularly concerning metastasis formation, which is often an indicator of aggressive cancer. The café will explore the latest findings in cancer research, discussing whether new insights can lead to more accurate diagnostics and whether it’s possible to anticipate one’s risk of developing cancer or metastasis.
