Nature Walk: Discovering the Old Botanical Garden

Embark on a journey through the lesser-known Old Botanical Garden of Barcelona, a serene oasis occupying an ancient quarry site. Guests will explore two accessible hectares of the garden, characterized by rare and towering trees, including notable specimens like Pterocarya, alongside ancient fossils from 10,000 years ago. This exploration leads to a picturesque pond surrounded by Central European foliage, where the ambient temperature is notably cooler than the city. This event highlights the garden's distinct collection of edible and medicinal plants. While the tour is not suitable for those with mobility challenges, it encourages a connection with nature. Guided by Mireia Teixidó, participants are advised to wear comfortable clothing and footwear and bring a water bottle for hydration.
