Mountain Bike World Championship Cross Country Eliminator (XCE)

The International Cycling Union (UCI) has awarded the city the organization of the Mountain Bike World Championship Cross Country Eliminator (XCE), which will take place on April 18, 2026, in the unique setting of Montjuïc Fountain. This competition, the most important in this discipline, will determine the World Champion, who will wear the prestigious UCI rainbow jersey. The Barcelona circuit, recognized internationally as one of the best in the world, features a combination of artificial obstacles and urban elements, ensuring a spectacular race. The XCE is characterized by its intensity and dynamism: after a qualifying round, riders compete in heats of four, with only the two fastest advancing to the grand final, which will crown the best biker on the planet.
