Traditionally, the Agrupació Cultural Folklòrica Barcelona has been organizing this Memorial, an evolution of the Joaquim Serra Awards, which this year includes the premiere of a commissioned work for the cobla and the performance of a commemorative program by the cobles Sant Jordi-Ciutat de Barcelona and Mediterrània, directed by Jordi Saura. The Memorial is an act of cobla and Catalan music in tribute to master Joaquim Serra.
