Mathematics Day: Interactive Challenges

Mathematics Day is a collaborative event aimed at engaging primary school students, teachers, and mentors through interactive challenges that stimulate logical thinking and problem-solving skills. This gathering, which serves as the culmination of a project supported by the Barcelona City Educational Programs Department, brings together five fifth-grade classes from various schools, including Escola Jesuïtes Poble Sec, Escola Castella, Escola Vedruna Àngels, and Escola Mercè Rodoreda. The day's activities begin with a mathematics challenge fair, where students, organized into teams, will alternate roles of proposing and solving challenges. Following this, student representatives from each school will present their solutions, fostering a dialogue about their mathematical experiences. This event not only enhances students' mathematical competencies but also promotes collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking among participants. Additionally, the event ties into the global context
