Math Challenges Day

This event brings together schools, teachers, and mentors, alongside institutional representatives, to celebrate the culmination of a project organized by the Education Programs Department of the Barcelona City Council. It involves five fifth-grade classes from various schools in the city, including Jesuits Poble Sec, Escola Castella, Vedruna Angels, and more. The first part features a math challenge fair where schools, divided into teams, will alternate between proposing and solving mathematical challenges. Following this, student representatives from each school will give short presentations detailing their solutions. Additionally, there will be a dialogue between students and teachers discussing their experiences with mathematics. This gathering aligns with events taking place globally to observe International Mathematics Day, which focuses on involving primary students, educators, and mentors.
