'Man Out of Necessity'

Theater. A woman cornered by war. A decision that will determine her identity. Synopsis: All crises hit the most vulnerable: the poor, the workers, and among them - as we have all experienced - crises often manifest as the face of a woman. She Gericke is one of them. She becomes a widow after a year of marriage and, without work or means of subsistence, is forced to adopt her husband's identity, Max Gericke, and replace him in the factory as a mechanical bull operator. Thus, disguised as a man, she will live through Hitler's rise to power and the disasters of war. The end of the conflict alleviates certain difficulties, but does not free her from unemployment or hunger. She/Max Gericke recalls some moments of her hard journey, which she lived with energy and a spirit of overcoming, as an extraordinary survivor, as women often do. The performance is in Spanish and lasts 70 minutes.
