This exhibition celebrates the 30th anniversary of MACBA by revisiting works from its collection, engaging in dialogues between new forms of being and actions in the world. It invites a reflective pause, a moment to look back on the past that has shaped the present of the museum and revisit its trajectory. 'Like a Starling Dance.' pays homage to three decades of collective work and dialogue among artists, audiences, and institutions, gathering the works of Josefa Tolrà, Esther Ferrer, Claudia Andujar, Àngels Ribé, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Matt Mullican, creating a collective narrative that challenges identities defined by categories such as gender, race, nationality, or class. This is an invitation to explore the dynamic intersections of art and society.
