This series focuses on the theme of maternity amidst socioeconomic challenges, discussing its role as a form of resistance in the context of a capital-life conflict and the ongoing social reproduction crisis. The events will gather mothers, academics, institutions, and organizations to foster transformative proposals toward a collective and sustainable model for life support. Co-organized with the UNESCO Chair on Women, Development, and Cultures at UVIC-UCC, this interdisciplinary cycle seeks to generate discussions and collaborative creations that empower women and enhance community resilience. It highlights the importance of collective responses and sustainable practices in facilitating care and nurturing in contemporary societies.
