This exhibition presents a comprehensive anthology of the work of renowned photographer Helen Levitt (1913-2009). Featuring over two hundred photographs, it is the first exhibition to draw from the entirety of her oeuvre and her recently opened archives. The exhibition includes unpublished works, photographs taken in Mexico in 1941, and a significant portion of her color photography, which she began exploring in the 1950s. Additionally, the documentary 'In the Street' (1948), which she co-directed, will be screened alongside a projection of her color slides. Levitt is particularly recognized for her contributions to street photography, often avoiding explicit narratives in her images and preferring to let them speak for themselves. This exhibition offers a rare opportunity to delve into the life and work of a pioneering figure in photography.
