Finca Sansalvador offers a unique glimpse into early 20th-century architecture and family history. Commissioned in 1909 by Antoni Sansalvador to architect Josep Maria Jujol, this estate showcases an intriguing blend of residential design and natural surroundings. Following the ownership transition to his brother Salvador in 1912, significant modifications were made, including the drilling of a water well reaching approximately forty meters deep. This well was discovered to contain traces of radioactive elements, leading to the establishment of the Sociedad de Agua Radial in 1915, which promoted the well’s water for medicinal purposes. Despite its closure in 1939, the site has recently been restored by the Barcelona City Council, turning it into a hub for historical research while opening its doors for public visits to delve into its captivating past.
