To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Goya Awards, the Spanish Academy of Cinema, in collaboration with RNE, is hosting a heartfelt tribute to the esteemed filmmaker Gonzalo Suárez, recipient of the Goya de Honor 2026. Recognized for his significant contributions to Spanish cinema over the last sixty years, Suárez’s filmography blends commercial cinema with adaptations from both literature and personal works. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the director during a live encounter and enjoy a dramatized reading of his iconic film 'Remando al viento', which won six Goya awards. This unique celebration promises a rich exploration of Suárez's impactful career in film and literature, culminating in a vibrant performance that highlights his cinematic legacy.
