"Roseland" showcases the first three choreographies of Belgian Wim Vandekeybus in an abandoned cinema in Brussels. Thirty years after its premiere, this cinematic version captures Vandekeybus's risk and overflowing dynamism, becoming a classic in dance cinema. Directors Walter Verdin, Octavio Iturbe, and Vandekeybus adapt to the big screen "What the Body Does Not Remember" (1987), "Las porteuses de mauvaises nouvelles" (1989), and "The Weight of a Hand" (1990). With these pieces, Vandekeybus shook the landscape of contemporary dance and theater in the late 1980s.
